Megan Atwell, a beauty therapist from Enniskillen, has credited her studies at South West College for equipping her with the expertise necessary to establish her own beauty business, Tranquillity by Megan which began trading in August 2023.
Following the completion of Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Beauty Therapy, Megan returned to her studies in 2022 at the Erne Campus in Enniskillen, completing courses in both Hot Stone Therapy and Indian Head Massage. She is currently undertaking a Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology.
Reflecting on her journey with South West College, Megan said;
‘I left school with a very clear idea of what I wanted to do, and I knew the structure of learning at South West College was going to be a perfect fit for me. The college allowed me to take ownership of my learning and the support offered by the tutors helped me to achieve my goal of becoming a beauty therapist.’
As a mature student returning to college Megan said that seeing so many of her former tutors helped her relax and ease back into her studies. She added that the support of the tutors and their passion for the subjects inspired her to continue on her learning journey and would recommend the college to anyone looking to further their careers and professional development.
