Adult Learners (18+)

At South West College we know that education is a lifelong pursuit and that no two educational journeys are the same.

We are proud that all our courses and opportunities are available and suitable to adult learners of any age and can be made to suit your lifestyle and work-life commitments.

South West College offer courses that can lead to career development, whether you are working towards a promotion or changing career entirely. Many courses are available part-time, allowing you to study while continuing to work. Most importantly, South West College offer industry recognised qualifications in the Fermanagh and Tyrone area, meaning you can enhance your education in your local community without sacrificing other commitments.

If you’re aged 19 or over and are looking to get a job, advance in your career, go to university or start something new, South West College will give you the skills you need for your future. We have a large variety of courses that can help you progress – from Access to Higher Education diplomas, practical work-based courses (from Entry Level to Level 3), Higher Education (Level 4 and above) and apprenticeships.

Studying at college might seem daunting if you’ve been out of a classroom for a while, but at SWC, we will do our best to support you through your course, whatever your situation. We offer a flexible approach to learning, and student support team are on-hand to provide help so that you can complete your qualification – from childcare to funding and financial support.

Support

Our Learner Support team are here to support, encourage and help you thrive at SWC. They provide quality advice and guidance for your future and can also offer learning support to help if you need extra help with English or Maths, if you are dyslexic or if you have a disability or a learning difficulty.

All our centres have classrooms and workshops with industry-recommended equipment, as well as well-stocked libraries, social spaces and cafes, creating a vibrant, sociable place to study alongside students of all ages and backgrounds.
