Funding Support for Students
At South West College, we want to enrich your life with more than just qualifications. We want you to develop a broader range of skills and qualities employers look for, including communication, teamwork and problem-solving, as well as having a great time.
Get to know your fellow students through a range of student-run activities. Join the Students’ Association, the National Students’ Union and college clubs and societies – from football to Zumba! Why not join one of our sports teams and represent your college locally?
Our Omagh Campus students get together once a week to play tabletop role-playing games, and skill-based card games.
The South West College Games/eSports society launched in 2020 and has now over 50 students participating on our discord server each week. Members of the eSports/Gaming Society can benefit from:
· Weekly pick-up games where students battle it out in a variety of esports games.
· Dedicated eSports nights for each of our games.
· Viewing parties of Northern Irish game development events.
· Nightly casual games within the server.
· Weekly club nights
Join us to recognise and celebrate a range of college and public events, including our own Graduation ceremonies, Black History Month, International Women’s Day, Adult Learners’ Week and LGBT+ History Month.
For more information about clubs and societies, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
We listen to and act on the views of our students. You are at the heart of what we do, and we value your opinions. Every programme has an elected student representative, and we regularly ask for students’ opinions through surveys, meetings with senior staff and college committees.
Our campuses have on-site bistros and coffee docks, serving a daily menu that includes healthy options.
Bistro meals are excellent value for money and provide a great opportunity to relax with friends between lessons.
We offer a wide variety of opportunities for students to get involved in sports or fitness activities, including the opportunity to compete as a member of one of our teams. Students can use our on-campus fitness suite in Enniskillen.
