Safeguarding

Safeguarding is about helping students to keep themselves safe, responding to concerns about alleged and suspected harm and implementing measures to help and protect those who cannot protect themselves.

Our Safeguarding Team are here to help

At SWC, we share the belief that safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility and foster this culture across the College. The College has a dedicated safeguarding team that promotes awareness of safeguarding issues and is always available to provide support to students, families and staff.

The College strives to offer the very best education and training and recognises the importance of integrated safeguarding and support services as part of the student experience to enable students to achieve positive outcomes.

Who should I contact?

In line with statutory safeguarding guidance, the College has a designated safeguarding team. This group of colleagues work closely together to provide effective safeguarding and pastoral support interventions for all students at the College.

If you are worried about something that is happening to you or to someone you know, please contact one of the Student Safeguarding Officers. You can also send an email with your name and contact number to safeguarding@swc.ac.uk. If we are concerned about your safety, we may need to share this information with others, but we will always tell you first.

Please be reminded that in cases of significant and immediate risk of harm, it is imperative to call emergency services without delay. The safety and well-being of our staff and students is our top priority.
