Funding Support for Students
This qualification is part of a suite of qualifications in Personal Progress that has been designed to address the needs of learners working at Entry 1 or below and in particular those with learning difficulties and disabilities. The qualification ensures that all learners are given the same opportunities to access appropriate and relevant education and improve their life chances.
Many new technologies are being utilised such as 3-D printing and additive manufacturing in a wide range of industries to produce functional products for consumer use. These technologies require the ability to take a design and create a 3-D computer based model. Such models can then be used via the 3-D printing machines to produce a prototype and/or real functional components.
The main purpose of this qualification is to develop hair and beauty skills, techniques and knowledge which will prepare students to progress to the next level of vocational learning. All the units in this qualification directly prepare students for further study in the hair and beauty sector.
