Funding Support for Students
City & Guilds Level 2 Award in 2D Computer Aided Design (using Autocad) is an ideal qualification for anyone employed at any level in the design or manufacturing sector to achieve, particularly if you wish to increase your knowledge and skills in order to progress your career. Autocad is used extensively in the fields of construction, engineering and product design with employers in these industries increasingly requiring their employees to become skilled in using CAD
Skills Focus funding is available towards course fees for eligible employers to up skill staff or for self employed students. For further details contact linda.clarke@swc.ac.uk.
No previous design or CAD skills are required to join the course as the teaching approach leads all students at their own individual pace through a progression of computer drawn exercises designed to increase student skill and promote achievement of the qualification.
Students will complete an assignment throughout the course.
Students who are proficient in 2D AutoCAD may progress onto OCN NI Level 4 BIM/Revit Building Information Modelling for the Construction sector or Level 2 3D Parametric Modelling for Engineering.
