Funding Support for Students
This one year course is suited to students interested in a career in the hairdressing industry. Students will be trained in a realistic working environment in the college’s state of art salons. Students will experience the normal day to day running of a hairdressing salon and will engage with customers. This will ensure students are ready to begin an exciting journey within this creative industry. This course will open various pathways for progression.
Working in the Hair Industry, Follow Health and Safety Practice in the Salon, Client Consultation for Hair Services, Shampoo and Condition the Hair and Scalp, The Art of Dressing Hair, Cut Woman’s Hair, Colour and Lighten hair.

A combination of practical observations and on-line theory tests are used to assess this qualification.
Achievement of this qualification provides opportunities to progress to further qualifications at Level 3. This qualification offers employment opportunities for students demonstrating occupational competence.
Students will be required to purchase a uniform and kit upon commencement of the programme.
