Funding Support for Students
The programme provides applicants with a core knowledge and the higher technical skills in Transport, and focuses on the practical application of knowledge and skills in both the academic and Work Based Learning components of the programme. A universal approach to the course coupled with opportunities to work with students from other Higher Education programmes will enable participants to gain an appreciation of the importance of a team approach in the modern and vibrant Transport sector. This multi-disciplinary approach is critical to ensure the successful and timely delivery of Transport and Supply Chain Management projects.

All applications will be individually considered. Successful applicants must have normally studied at level 3 or above for a minimum of two years. Applicants should possess a minimum of five GCSEs grades A, B, C that should include English and Maths or other equivalent (Essential skills numeracy, BTEC Level 3 Mathematics or Essential Skills Literacy) qualifications in addition to one of the following • successful completion of an advanced diploma;• successful completion of a BTEC Extended Diploma/Diploma/Sub Diploma/Certificate in a related subject or a NVQ level 3 in a related subject;• successful completion of A-level study; • equivalent qualifications such as Scottish Certificate of Education or International Baccalaureate, a European Baccalaureate, Irish Leaving Certificate with grade C or above in four subjects at higher level;• qualifications deemed equivalent to the above;
Assessment of core modules will be by a combination of Course Work, Professional Report(s),Presentation(s) and Examinations. *The minimum overall pass mark of 40% is required to be achieved in all modules. Upon successful completion of the Foundation Degree in Transport & Supply Chain Management programme, graduates may consider entering into employment within the Transport and Supply Chain sector or continuing to study by applying for a place on a BSc programme in a relevant discipline including the level 6 BSc (Hons) Top-Up Degree in Transport and Supply Chain Management at South West College.
