Funding Support for Students
The BTEC National Foundation Diploma will provide learners, wishing to undertake a post-16 qualification, with an excellent base knowledge in key business subject areas.
The qualification gives learners the knowledge, understanding and skills that underpin the business sector that will prepare them for further study or training. The course is designed to cover all key topic areas in business: Business environments, Marketing, Finance, Management.
In the first year students will be required to undertake a work placement and additional qualifications as part of their full-time studies.
You will be required to complete the following mandatory modules:
Exploring Business, Developing a Marketing Campaign, Personal and Business Finance, Managing an Event.
Recruitment and Selection, Work Experience.
4 GCSE grades C or above to include either Maths or English at grade C (or equivalent) or Level 2 BTEC in Business.
The course is assessed using external and internal testing and project based assignments.
This can be studied as a one-year course to achieve 1.5 A-level equivalent grades.
On completion of year one, you can progress on to year two, you can study at two levels, National Diploma or National Extended Diploma in Business, where on completion you would achieve 2 or 3 A-level equivalent grades respectively.
Additional programmes of study are also completed in Essential Skills, Social Networking for Business and Employability Skills to enhance students’ key skills.
