The OCN NI Level 4 Certificate in Cyber Security qualification aims to develop the skills and knowledge of learners to monitor, maintain and enhance the security of information technology systems.
The objectives of the OCN NI Level 4 Certificate in Cyber Security are to enable to learn how to carry out the following on information technology systems:
Learners must be at least 18 years of age and have a level three qualification in Information Technology or related subject or have relevant information technology experience equivalent to at least a level three qualification in information technology.
Portfolio
On successful completion of Level 4 Cyber Security students may progress to OCN NI Level 5 Certificate in Cyber Security where the learner can develop skills in application of computer security principles using current technologies and management tools, planning, implementation and monitoring of system and software security, network security management, application of cryptographic algorithms and network security, security penetration tests, network security logging and monitoring services to be utilised.
Requires Independent Study and undertaking practice activities and development of portfolio evidence.
