The VTCT Level 3 NVQ Award in Self-Tanning is a single unit award. This qualification is about applying self-tanning products, manual and spray tanning within a commercial environment.
This qualification is designed to develop your practical skills in providing self-tan services to the full body. You will learn about manual and spray tanning treatments and how to use professional tanning products, tan gun and compressor.
You will also learn about the key ingredients, benefits and contra-indications of tanning treatments. The purpose of this qualification is enhance your skills in tanning application.

A combination of practical observations and online papers are used to assess this qualification.
Students who successfully complete this qualification may choose to undertake further study; qualifications you could progress to include Beauty Therapy, Nail Technology and Lash Extensions.
Students who do not have a suitable uniform will be required to purchase a uniform on commencement of the programme. Kit is also advisable.
