This short course introduces learners to the principles of mental health and its importance within the construction industry. It explores how mental health affects wellbeing, safety, and performance at work, and examines the causes and impact of stress in construction environments. Learners will also develop awareness of pre‑ and post‑natal paternal and maternal depression and anxiety and learn to recognise key signs and symptoms.
The course provides practical self‑help strategies to support positive mental wellbeing and guides learners on where to find professional help and support when needed. Ideal for anyone working in or entering the construction sector, this qualification promotes a healthier, safer, and more supportive workplace culture.
