South West College (SWC) in collaboration with Mid Ulster Council’s Go Succeed
Programme, successfully hosted a dynamic Future Founders Innovation Camp at its Dungannon campus. Held over two days during Global Entrepreneurship Week in November, the event brought together aspiring entrepreneurs to develop innovative business concepts, build enterprise skills, and pitch ideas to industry experts.
SWC is delighted to announce that Ulster University’s Foundation Degree in Business Management (Year 1) students secured first place in the Future Founders Innovation Camp. The judging panel commended the team for their exceptional business insight, strong teamwork, and creative approach to real-world challenges. Their achievement set a high benchmark for future participants and highlighted the impressive talent emerging from the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Speaking about the event, Marina Malcolm, Foundation Degree Course Director, emphasised the importance of collaboration between education, industry, and local government in nurturing business innovation.
Marina said: “The Go Succeed Future Founders Programme plays a vital role in promoting entrepreneurship and economic growth. Running until March 2026, it will inspire up to 3,900 young people through enterprise camps and workshops across the region’s six further education colleges, fostering creativity, innovation, and essential entrepreneurial skills.
“We are delighted to be part of this initiative and extremely proud of our students’ success. Congratulations to all participants. The College looks forward to building on this year’s achievements as we continue to champion innovation and enterprise across the region.”
