Are you ready to discover what makes both hospitality and tourism exciting? The Level 2 Hospitality Traineeship is your chance to step into two amazing industries, learning how to welcome guests, create great experiences, and show off what your area has to offer.
Over one year, you will get hands on in the College’s own restaurant and learn how to plan events, promote local attractions, and make visitors feel at home. You will build skills like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving, everything employers want while working towards a qualification that opens doors in hotels, restaurants, travel, and tourism.
Modules Will Include:
Applicants must be at least 16 years of age on or before 1 July in the year of proposed entry to the course.
All applicants must demonstrate, at interview, a satisfactory level of fluency in English – both written and spoken. The College reserves the right to refer any applicant to appropriate English language or literacy classes until their level of fluency is sufficient to enable participation in all areas of study.
Applicants must have achieved a minimum of a Level 1 qualification, defined as four GCSEs at grades D–G, including Mathematics and English at grades E-E or equivalent. Enhanced entry grades for Mathematics and English apply in certain subject areas; these will be discussed with applicants following receipt of their application.
Assessment for the traineeship will be varied and will be based on a combination of written examinations and observations of participants’ competence in real work situations. Learners will be evaluated on their ability to apply skills and knowledge in the workplace, as well as their compliance with industry standards and regulations.
On successful completion of this course students may progress to level 3 courses in related areas such as the Level 3 in Food and Beverage Supervision or Level Travel and Tourism.
Throughout the traineeship, you will get to learn loads about hospitality and tourism. You will learn how to deliver top customer service, support front of house operations, help plan events and even promote what makes your area special to tourists.
All your learning happens in the College’s modern facilities, so you will be using the same kind of facilities as the pros. You will get real experience working with customers and visitors, building your confidence and finding out what you’re great at. The course is designed to meet the latest industry standards, so you know you are getting the right start for your future career whether that’s in a hotel, restaurant, or the world of travel and tourism.
If you want to build a future in hospitality or tourism, this traineeship is your chance to get hands-on, make new friends, and discover what you’re great at.
