Applicants are normally required to hold a minimum of a Level 1 qualification which is 4 GCSEs at Grades D-G or equivalent. For this programme, this should include Maths Grade E and English Grade E.

All applicants must be able to demonstrate at enrolment stage that they have a satisfactory level of fluency in English – both written and spoken.

Assessment for the traineeship will be varied and will be based on a combination of written examinations and observations of participants’ competence in real work situations. Learners will be evaluated on their ability to apply skills and knowledge in the workplace, as well as their compliance with industry standards and regulations.

On successful completion of this course students may progress to level 3 courses in related areas such as the Level 3 in Food and Beverage Supervision or Level Travel and Tourism.

Throughout the traineeship, you will get to learn loads about hospitality and tourism. You will learn how to deliver top customer service, support front of house operations, help plan events and even promote what makes your area special to tourists.

All your learning happens in the College’s modern facilities, so you will be using the same kind of facilities as the pros. You will get real experience working with customers and visitors, building your confidence and finding out what you’re great at.
