Easter celebrations got underway this week at the South West College (SWC) Erne Campus as Foundation Degree Travel and Tourism students put their Event Management skills to the test to organise a funfilled Easter themed afternoon for Pre-School children from the Enniskillen Integrated Nursery Unit.

The children had a great time meeting with the Easter Bunny, and everyone received a small gift. They enjoyed some healthy snacks and refreshments while watching the popular movie HOP.

The inaugural event proved a great hit with the children and adults alike, and the Travel and Tourism students were delighted to receive overwhelmingly positive feedback, with attendees describing the event as ‘outstanding’.

“Enniskillen Integrated Nursery Unit pupils enjoyed a fabulous afternoon at the South West College, Erne Campus. The magic of the Easter bunny was evident as First Year Foundation Degree Travel and Tourism students organised an Easter themed Event where the pupils were treated to the Easter movie 'Hop' and the Easter Bunny popped in to meet everyone. The attention to detail was first class and great fun was had by all.”

Clodagh Swift, Tourism and Hospitality Lecturer at South West College, said:

“This positive feedback is a testament to our student's hard work and preparation, and they are looking forward to making this event a tradition at the South West College Enniskillen campus.

The students would like to thank Tesco Enniskillen and Martina Reynolds, who sponsored the event and the Erne campus staff, teachers and pupils who attended the event and made it a very special occasion for all involved.”
