This qualification is designed for project managers, department heads, and other practising middle managers to develop skills and experience, improve your performance and prepare for senior management responsibilities.
The qualification is made up of a broad range of units covering skills in six core areas:
The flexibility in unit choice allows the qualification to be tailored to meet the needs of the Learners and the employer with over 50 units available to choose from.
What you will learn:
Students will learn how to develop their ability to lead, motivate and inspire. Use core management techniques to drive better results, provide strategic leadership as well as day-to-day management. Benchmark their managerial capability and raise their professional profile within the organisation.
*Competent written and verbal English as well as competent ICT skills*
Where candidates do not have competent written and verbal skills in English/Maths, they can enrol on Essential Skills Literacy/ Numeracy at SWC. Desirable Criteria – experience in supervising a work team.
Participants will be either practising or aspiring middle managers with experience to meet the assessment demands and have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme. Learners with experience in project
management will also be considered. An interview is required prior to entry on this programme.
Knowledge, understanding and application to industry will be principally assessed through written assignments, presentations and professional discussions. There are no formal examinations.
Learners could progress to the ILM Level 7 Diploma or any other suitable relevant qualification.
