South West College (SWC) is celebrating another year of exceptional achievement, as hundreds of students from its Enniskillen, Dungannon, and Omagh campuses received their Level 3 Extended Diploma results on Thursday, 14 August.

Many students secured top marks the equivalent of three A* grades earning places on their first-choice higher education courses. A significant number are choosing to stay local, continuing their academic journeys at SWC or progressing directly into employment across a range of industries.

At the Enniskillen Erne campus, celebrations were in full swing as students marked a major academic milestone. Ben Kelly, currently studying the Foundation Degree in Visual Media Arts (Film), was among those celebrating.

Level 3 Applied Science students Theo Reynolds, Darragh Clancy, and Daniel Nolan were equally thrilled with their outstanding results, which have opened doors to future careers in science and healthcare. Meanwhile, Aleah McCarney studying BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Engineering and Ciara Parker BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment also achieved excellent grades and are now progressing into higher education.

At the Dungannon campus, success was evident across a wide range of disciplines. Level 3 IT students Roisin Coleman and Fintan Croucher celebrated their achievements and are continuing their studies locally, progressing to Foundation Degrees at SWC.

Another standout student, Eli McKirgan, who completed the Level 3 Business course, is preparing to study Finance at Ulster University.

Students widely praised their experience at South West College, citing the dedication of their tutors and the clear progression routes into higher education and employment.

Congratulating students on their results Celine McCartan, Principal and Chief Executive of South West College said;

"I am delighted with the results achieved by students across all subject areas at South West College. Our campuses in Dungannon, Omagh and Enniskillen have been brought to life once again with hundreds of smiling faces this morning as our young people have collected their envelopes. Results day is an exciting milestone in the lives of our young people, their parents and extended family members, but we know for many it can be a very daunting and difficult time.

“South West College provides students with a wide range of options to continue their studies to Foundation Degree and Bachelor Degree level without incurring the costs associated with studying at University. For students who wish to work and study our Higher Level Apprenticeships have once again proven to be a very popular and attractive proposition for many of those coming through our doors this morning and we are seeing increasing application numbers across many subject areas.

“For those who perhaps did not achieve the results they had hoped for, our advice is not to panic, there are always pathways and options to be considered and the student support and careers team member at SWC are available over the coming days to provide impartial advice and guidance to all students whether they know there next steps or not."

Across all campuses, SWC remains committed to supporting students in achieving academic excellence while guiding them toward meaningful and rewarding future pathways. SWC is still accepting applications for a September 2025 start across a wide range of full-time and part-time Higher Education courses, including 30 Foundation Degrees, BSc Top Ups, and Full Honours Degrees in partnership with prestigious Higher Education institutions.
