South West College and the Lough Erne Resort recently hosted a special event to celebrate the outstanding achievements of two Foundation Degree in Hospitality and Events Management students and resort employees, Sarah Feely and Roisin Donegan, who graduated with Distinctions.
Applauding Sarah and Roisin’s achievements and wishing them future success, Siobhan Hallawell, Course Director said:
“Roisin and Sarah exemplified not only exceptional academic ability but also remarkable resilience and determination to achieve their goals. The ladies competently managed to balance their coursework deadlines with work and family commitments and these results are a testament to their unwavering work ethic.
Speaking about her time at the college, Sarah who is the Assistant Front Office Manager at the Lough Erne Resort said:
“As a mature student balancing full-time work, motherhood and running a home, returning to education at South West College felt daunting. However, the unwavering support from my lecturers, family, colleagues and management at the Lough Erne Resort has been invaluable. Their encouragement, patience and understanding empowered me to persevere even on the toughest days.”
Roisin who works in reservations added that she had enjoyed ‘all aspects of the course’ but reflected that being involved with the organisation of the Fermanagh’s Finest event was a personal highlight during her time at the College.
