South West College (SWC) is inviting prospective students, parents, and members of the community to attend its upcoming Open Days, offering a firsthand look at the opportunities and pathways available at the College.
SWC will host four Open Day events across its campuses:
- Dungannon Campus: 20 January
- Erne Campus & Technology and Skills Centre, Enniskillen: 27 January
- Omagh Campus: 7 February
Time: 3 pm – 7 pm
Open Days provide an ideal opportunity for prospective students and their families to explore SWC’s campuses, meet teaching staff, and discover the College’s extensive range of career-focused courses. These include Level 1–3 courses, BTEC Diplomas, Traineeships, Apprenticeships, HNCs, HNDs, Foundation Degrees, Honours Degrees, and Higher Level Apprenticeships — all of which are now open for online applications.
SWC Principal and Chief Executive Celine McCartan said:
“Choosing the right path after secondary school can be daunting. Our Open Days allow students and parents to explore all the options available locally, experience our facilities, and meet the teams that will guide them on their educational journey. We are proud to offer courses that give ambitious young people practical skills, strong career pathways, and real choices about their future. BTEC qualifications, apprenticeships and higher-level apprenticeships are now just as popular — and increasingly the preferred option — compared to traditional A-Levels and university pathways for school leavers and our learners. I would encourage school leavers and prospective students who are considering their next steps to visit one of our open day events to explore the wide range of opportunities we have to offer.”
Attendees will also have the opportunity to:
- Participate in hands-on demonstrations and activities
- Receive guidance on college support services, career pathways, and finance options
- Access impartial advice from the College’s careers team to help make informed decisions about future study and career choices
