SWC Higher Education Community Scholarship Awards 2026-27

Higher Education Students

As part of South West College’s commitment to Widening Access and Participation, we are offering 10 scholarships worth £5,600 each, over two years, to students completing their A-Levels or Level 3 programme this summer.

Scholarships are awarded as a waiver for full-time tuition fees covering the two years of study. Applications must be received by Friday, 4th September. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to participate in an interview as part of the selection procedure.

Criteria for Application

Applicants should:

  • Be on target to achieve no less than 112 UCAS points (A-Level, BTEC, OCR Cambridge Technical qualifications).
  • Have at least 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths at grade C/4 (or University-approved equivalent).
  • Be in receipt of Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA)
  • Submit a 500-word statement about their preferred course and reasons why they feel they should receive the SWC Higher Education Community Scholarship Award
  • Refer to guidance for full criteria

    Ulster University Foundation Degree in Science in Computing

    Dungannon Enniskillen Omagh Higher Education Computing and ICT Level 5 Full-Time Part-Time

    This programme is designed around the computing requirements of local industry. You will gain the knowledge, understanding and design skills to formulate solutions to computing problems and the practical skills to implement those solutions.
