Note - GCSE applications have now closed on some campuses. These will reopen again later this year for a January course start. Please keep checking the website to see when the sessions reopen.
Our GCSE English Language specification encourages students to explore and respond, both imaginatively and critically, to a variety of texts. Students use reading to improve their writing skills. They also enhance their understanding of how language variations relate to identity and cultural diversity.
This is an intensive one-year course leading to a GCSE qualification in English language. While you will come to class one evening a week, you will be required to do additional work outside of the classroom. Independent study is an integral part of this course.
