Overview

Carbon Literacy means being aware of the impact of everyday activities on the climate, and knowing what steps can be taken to reduce emissions as an individual, a community group, or an organisation, and why it’s important that we all take these steps. The actions of individuals can and does make a difference. Learners who have completed approved Carbon Literacy learning can be certified as Carbon Literate.

Year Two

There are no entry requirements for this course. An accredited Carbon Literacy Certificate will be awarded to participants who complete the training sessions and complete a Carbon Pledge outlining their commitment to ongoing carbon reduction at home or in the workplace.

Participants who gain Carbon Literacy certification may wish to progress to the NOCN Level 2 Award in Reducing Carbon Footprints through Environmental Action.
