At South West College we are see the need to make learning more meaningful. Within the review of the Further Education model by DFE, PBL will play a critical role. Going forward, South West College is aiming to make students more employable and not just qualified through the implementation of project based learning. South West College have implemented the Career Builder Programme which sits as an additionality alongside the BTEC Level 3 in Computing, Construction and Engineering.

With this programme, students gain an additional 8 UCAS points through an OCN NI Qualification and have the opportunity to work with a live industry client. The level 2 Traineeships also intergrate PBL into their vocational studies.
