Ekadasi Ryan and Tanya Gatora, very talented students from the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at South West College, have had the privilege of having their art work featured in a publication by Heart Educational Supplies.
This appearance in the "Cutting Edge" newsletter for teachers and students in the UK and Ireland has won the college £200 vouchers for materials. Judges were impressed with the high standard of the work sent through from South West College - Enniskillen Campus for the magazine.
Ekadasi was also the winner of the First Trust Best of Show award at an exhibition last May in the Clinton Centre and her work is presently being exhibited in the bank.

Clare McCarroll, Lecturer at SWC, told us: "Ekadasi worked extremely hard all year to achieve her goal of producing a fashion portfolio for entry onto a BA Hons Degree. Her portfolio helped her stand out in interview in universities and Ekadasi is continuing her studies in London doing a BA Hons. in Fashion."
Patricia Quigley, Lecturer, speaking about Tanya said: "She is a dedicated art and design student who works to a high standard and has produced some lovely pieces for her portfolio allowing her to access a degree in Textile Art, Design and Fashion in the University of Ulster."
Tanya told us: "During the Foundation Art and Design course at South West College, I completed a piece for my final major project based on the theme 'water'. In the eight weeks I had to complete this project, I researched and experimented with several techniques to aid me in the design for my final outcome. I was very impressed with the end result and received positive feedback at the exhibition."
