South West College (SWC) is proud to announce it has been shortlisted in three categories at the prestigious Open College Network Northern Ireland (OCN NI) Learning Endeavour Awards 2025. The awards ceremony will take place at the iconic Titanic Belfast on Tuesday 24 June 2025.

Organised by OCN NI, an educational charity and awarding body, the Learning Endeavour Awards celebrate the remarkable achievements of learners, tutors, and educational providers across Northern Ireland. Now in its seventh year, the event recognises excellence across nine award categories: Third Sector Learner of the Year, Further Education Learner of the Year, Health and Wellbeing Learner of the Year, Schools Learner of the Year, Advancing Learning Through Innovation, Essential Skills Learner of the Year, Provider of the Year, Inspiring Tutor/Teacher of the Year and Traineeship/Apprenticeship Learner of the Year.

South West College has been shortlisted for Health & Wellbeing Learner of the Year, with Sarah Gilloway, studying Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Traineeship) at the Omagh campus; Traineeship/Apprenticeship Learner of the Year, with Dungannon campus Eonan Johnston studying Level 2 in IT (Traineeship) shortlisted; and the Advancing Learning Through Innovation category, recognising SWC’s Level 2 Training in IT initiative.

Speaking on the announcement, Celine McCartan Principal and Chief Executive at South West College said:
