    Lauren Crozier from Omagh is following her passion for Engineering and ‘Earning while she Learns’ at South West College (SWC), Omagh. Lauren is studying the Ulster University Foundation Degree in Engineering with Specialism in Mechatronics, part-time. This allows her to work full-time as a Higher Level Apprentice (HLA) at Scotts Bakery, Fivemiletown, ensuring that she can gain her bachelor’s degree without accumulating any tuition fee debt along the way.

  • Award Winning Student Thankful for Culture of Creativity at South West College

    Omagh screenwriter and former South West College (SWC) student, Aidan McAleer, won three screenwriting awards last year. Aidan won 'Best First-time Screenwriter' at the Kosice International Monthly Film Festival; 'Best Feature Script' at the Prague International Monthly Film Festival'; and ‘Best Screenplay' at the Canadian Cinematography Awards, for his screenplay, 'Forgiven', which tells an emotional story of accidental manslaughter and the swirling guilt and aftermath that follows it.

    Inspiring local Armagh woman, Jacinta Kelly (44), a former South West College (SWC) Access student and mum of three has recently graduated with a First-Class Honours BSC in Nursing at Queens University Belfast. Jacinta is currently employed as a Theatre Nurse at the Southern Health and Social Care Trust (SHSCT) and has been redeployed to the front-line Intensive Care Unit (ICU) due to Covid-19.

The Virtual Open days will take the format of interactive online webinars with a live Q+A function and will be hosted live on You Tube Premiere.
