Funding Support for Students
This course will prepare participants for entry into engineering or manufacturing sectors that utilise robot technologies, creating a progression between education and employment. This course can act as a basis for the development of additional skills and occupational competences for existing workforces who wish to upskill and increase knowledge in this area.
This training course provides a broad range of basic competences needed to produce and prove programs on industrial robot controllers, which will prepare you for entry into this field of engineering or manufacturing sector.
Participants will learn to program 6-axis Universal and ABB robots using online programming methods (creating or modifying programs using the robots teach pendant and lead through programming methods) and offline programming methods (creating robot programs using programming software in a simulated work environment- Robot studio).
Robotic applications covered will include basic pick & place operations and MIG welding with investigation into different kinds of robot movements and making these as efficient as possible.
