South West College (SWC) is excited to announce its participation in the upcoming Northern Ireland International Air Show in Portrush on the 7th and 8th of September 2024. The SWC engineering and computing team will be showcasing their dedication to innovation, education, and the promotion of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers at the event’s STEM Village.
SWC’s presence in the STEM village will provide an opportunity for attendees to interact with SWC staff, experience hands-on demonstrations, and learn about the cutting-edge projects and technologies that are shaping the future.
As advocates for STEM education and career development, the SWC engineering and computing team will be on hand to answer any queries about STEM careers and the courses available to help you get there.
Attendees can also expect interactive activities and demonstrations of exciting technologies. From the educational Lego Spike robotics kit to the interactive Marty the Robot and humanoid Pepper the Robot, attendees will have the opportunity to explore and engage with the latest advancements in STEM.
Joanne McGovern, Curriculum Manager of the Engineering Hub, expressed excitement about the event, stating,
