South West College (SWC) is leading the way in sustainability by printing their 2024/25 Full-time Further and Higher Education course listings on Carbon Balanced Paper. This initiative is part of SWC’s ongoing efforts to reduce their carbon footprint. The comprehensive course listing is designed with a reduced page count on an A4 guide to minimise paper waste while providing all the necessary information about SWC’s 2024/25 Recreational, Further Education, and Higher Education courses.

Carbon Balanced Paper is a sustainable option that offsets the carbon emissions associated with office paper and printed marketing materials. By partnering with the World Land Trust, an international conservation charity, South West College supports the preservation of ecologically important forests that are at risk of clearance. This collaboration helps lock in carbon and reduce carbon dioxide emissions in the atmosphere. Using Carbon Balanced Paper, South West College proudly displays the Woodland Trust Carbon Balanced Paper logo on their printed materials, showcasing their commitment to sustainability.

This initiative reflects SWC’s broader commitment to renewable energy and sustainability, exemplified by the new South West College Erne Campus. This campus is the first and largest educational building worldwide to achieve the Passive House Premium rating, the highest international standard in environmental construction.

Copies of the course listings are now available at SWC campuses or for download from the college’s website www.swc.ac.uk
