South West College is proud to announce that Joanne McCubbin, a Higher Level Apprentice, has been awarded the prestigious Higher Level Apprentice Award at the 2024 Northern Ireland Apprenticeship Awards. Joanne, hailing from Coleraine, completed her Higher Level Apprenticeship (HLA) Foundation Degree in Transport and Supply Chain Management at SWC's Dungannon campus while employed by Manfreight Ltd.

The NI Apprenticeship Awards recognise individuals like Joanne who demonstrate outstanding dedication to their professional development and contribute significantly to their workplaces. Noreen McGirr, HLA Manager at South West College, commended Joanne's achievement, highlighting her commitment and the invaluable support from both her employer and the SWC lecturing team.

Joanne expressed her gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing how it has bolstered her confidence and motivation to strive for further success in her career. The Higher Level Apprenticeship program at SWC, which seamlessly integrates academic study with on-the-job training, enables apprentices like Joanne to progress at an exceptional pace.
