Are you driven to help young people to progress?
Do you feel as if your goal is to safeguard children?
Then take a few minutes to watch this fantastic documentary from the Department for Health, the NI Social Care Council and the Health and Social Care Trust.
“Changing Lives: The Vital Role of Social Workers in Children’s Services in Northern Ireland” features social workers from various trusts within Northern Ireland, showing a day in the life of Children’s Services and talking about what encouraged them into social work and how they find it to be a rewarding and life-changing career.
The recent premiere of this film at our Dungannon Campus was a great opportunity for our Social Work students to network with the attendees and meet social workers from across Northern Ireland. The documentary also explores the vast array of career paths a Social Worker can pursue after their degree, with staff from initial referrals, family intervention, residential facilities and the 14+ team featured.
As always, if you are interested in studying social work at South West College, our team are happy to help. This course is a UCAS application, so we encourage you to apply soon!
