Students studying Childcare recently organised a fun-filled day to celebrate International Bread Day, welcoming Primary 1 children from a local primary school to join in the celebrations.
As part of their childcare course, the students planned and designed a range of exciting, creative activities to engage the children and make the day both educational and enjoyable.
The children had the opportunity to taste breads from around the world, discovering different flavours and learning about the variety of breads enjoyed in different cultures. They also enjoyed listening to a story, taking part in painting activities, decorating gingerbread men and colouring in.
The event provided the students with a valuable opportunity to put their childcare knowledge and skills into practice, developing their planning, creativity and ability to engage with young children in a fun and welcoming environment.
It was a wonderful day of learning, creativity and cultural discovery, enjoyed by both the Primary 1 children and the students who worked hard to organise the activities. If you are interested in joining us next year, applications for Children's Care, Learning and Development will open later this year.
