Funding Support for Students
This Level 1 Painting and Decorating qualification is designed to equip learners with the knowledge and skills to pursue a career within the Construction industry. The course supports the knowledge and skills development required for access to higher qualifications in Painting and Decorating. Learners will benefit from tutors with industrial experience, state of the art facilities and resources and real work experience.
There are no formal entry requirement for this qualification, however learners must have the potential to successfully gain the qualification. The minimum age requirement for this qualification is 16 plus.
The course is assessed through completion of a practical task manual in the workshop, and theory-based assessment completed in class under exam conditions.
Achievement of this qualification will enable the learner to progress to Level 2 Painting and Decorating Traineeship or Apprenticeship Traineeship or Apprenticeship and follow a career in Painting & Decorating with further progression to Level 3 Apprenticeship in Painting and Decorating.
You will learn the basic practical and knowledge skills necessary to gain employment and progress on to level 2. These are covered in a range of practical and theory modules.
