Course Options and Information

International Foundation Year/International Foundation Certificate
The International Foundation Year (IFY) aims to develop students English language skills from IELTS 4.5 (with 4.0 in writing) or equivalent to the level required for continued undergraduate study (the equivalent of IELTS 6.0) on your chosen foundation degree course. It also aims to develop the required academic skills and subject knowledge. The main aim of the Lingo Lab is to prepare students to succeed on their chosen course by breaking down the language barrier in friendly, progressive surroundings. The International Foundation Certificate (IFC) is a similar course, but it's not attached to a specific degree programme, and is designed for students who are only able to study for one year at the College.
