Funding Support for Students
This course aims to develop students’ knowledge and understanding of nail art. It also aims to develop practical skills in preforming nail art to industry standards.
This is a part time course in nail art that runs over eight weeks. The course involves theory and practical aspects. Theory aspects to be covered include nail diseases and disorders and nail shapes. Practical aspects include polish application, rhinestone, flat stone and pearl application along with striping tape, transfers and foil.
There are no formal prerequisite qualifications that you must have prior to undertaking this qualification. This course is suitable for beginners’ or those expanding their skill set.
The course is assessed through exam and practical assessments.
On completion of this qualification, you may choose to undertake further study in Nail Technology or Beauty Therapy qualifications.
Students that do not already possess a qualification in Health and Safety for the Hair or Beauty Industry, will be required to sit this unit alongside. This extra unit incurs an additional examination/tuition fee.
Students will be required to purchase a uniform and kit on commencement of the programme.
